Nola #1, Dead at 17 #1 et 8 pages de « Box 13 ». C’est la première série originale par Comixology qui est donc plus qu’un simple distributeur de comics.

Côté Payant :

Chez DC on continue notre lecture de Batman avec le #676 et celle de Superman/Batman avec le #30. On ajoute à ça, une sélection de nouveaux titres dont entre autres ceux-ci-dessous.

Image comics n’est pas en reste puisqu’ils sortent un nouveau tome du Savage Dragon et le tome 2 de Morning Glories.

Chez Dynamite on peut lire (ou relire) la suite de Red Sonja avec le #5 et le #12 de 28 jours plus tard.

Enfin chez Alterna vous pourrez découvrir (ou redécouvrir) la suite de Novo avec le #2 et #3.

Tokyopop rejoint le groupe:

Le grand nouveau de la semaine c’est sans nul doute Tokyopop qui rejoint les autres éditeurs présent sur l’appli avec pour l’instant un seul titre mis a dispo « Hetalia » dont le volume un est découpé en 6 parties, avec le numéro 1 gratuit (seul titre gratuit, cette semaine).

Côté payant

Walking dead est à l’honneur cette semaine car, pas moins de 3 nouveaux titres sont dispos sur l’appli toujours au prix d’$1,99 soit 1,79€ pour les numéros #75 et #76 et ~2,23€ pour le numéro #77.

Chez DC Comics les potes de Batman sont pas mal représenté car, on a le Robin #168 et NightWing #138. Le chevalier noir (mon héros préféré ) n’est pas en reste puisqu’on le retrouve dans Batman #675.

Après outre les gros titres bien vendeurs on trouve plusieurs numéros intéressant à découvrir ou redécouvrir comme Novo, un titre d’Alterna Comics  publié en 2008 en version papier et seulement rajouté à l’appli maintenant. Ou encore Dominion dessiné par Tom Hamilton, dessinateur sur Deadpool entre autres, publié en 2007. La belle guérière « Red Sonja » est également présente avec son numéro #3 publié en 2005.

Il y a évidemment tout un tas d’autre numéros et pour les découvrir je vous donne rendez vous sur l’appli et/ou sur le site web de comixology.

Je n’ai pas eu l’impression d’avoir quelque chose en plus par rapport à l’an dernier et sans doute ce qui à fortement contribué à ce sentiment décevant.

Alors, cette année je m’y suis rendu le samedi, alors que l’an dernier j’y étais allé le dimanche, peut être est-ce là, la vraie différence

La partie manga

Le Naruto géant était toujours là, comme s’il n’avait jamais bougé et les stands Manga avait pas mal de succès. On pouvait découvrir la nouvelle création de la créatrice d’Hello Kitty Rebecca Bonbon, incarné par un bulldog français. Franchement si cette marque marche également, chapeau! L’opération marketing de la « marque » sur le salon consisté à voir 4 femmes accroché à un homme par une laisse.

Une autre initiative marketing avait lieu non loin, mais cette fois l’idée était sympatique, puisqu’elle permettait à toutes personnes d’enregistrer sa propre émission manga sur place et de repartir avec sur une clé USB.

La partie Comics:

Cette partie est également dédiée aux séries télé et films de science ficiton. On avait donc le régiment de la 501ème présent sur le salon. Stormtroopers, officier, scoutroopers, Dark Maul et autres personnages de la guerre des étoiles se balader en groupe faisant le show avec les visiteurs. Par contre, cette année pas de décors Star Wars, snif!

La porte des étoiles étaient, quant à elle bien présente, avec quelques soldats enchaînant les photos. La belle Tom Raider était également là et pour le coup c’était la même que l’an dernier, toujours autant sollicitée.

Une petite expo DC permettait de voir quelques illustrations de plusieurs titres, dont green lantern, Batman, Superman et Wonderwoman, un peu léger comme expo.  Mais non loin de là il y avait une batmobile avec quelques personnages grandeur nature.

J’avais déjà présenté l’application Comixology il y a quelques temps mais l’appli, désormais disponible sur iPad, vient d’annoncer la venue de DC dans sa collection. Autant Marvel à sa propre application, autant DC à semble-t-il choisit de laisser faire Comixology pour ses collections.

Brand New serie, brand new character:

With the new serie, DC Comics choose to change the character under the Batgirl mask. But who is she??!! There was a lot of speculation out there Cassandra Cain? Barbara Gordon ? Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe? Spoiler?

And the summary of the 1st issue from DC Comics isn’t telling much more about her identity

In the wake of « Batman R.I.P. » and BATTLE FOR THE COWL, a new heroine has emerged in Gotham City, and as she begins her nocturnal crusade to take back the night, she will truly learn what it means to wear the mantle of the Bat. But who is this young woman, and why has she donned the cape and cowl?

Also the cover of the first issue wasn’t showing the face of the new batgirl but as you can imagine you open the comic book really fast in order to discover her.

Brand new character, brand new costume:

This a new character and she may need a brand new costume! At least that’s what DC people have thought and it’s a good way for us to recognize her and move on from the previous batgirl. And who can do that? Lee Garbett of course is a made some changes on the color and the designs and reveal some draws on his blog post and on twitter. Obviously everybody is talking about that.

Me? I like the new designs and I believe Lee Garbett did a great job on it and in the comic book. It makes me think a little of Catwoman with this purple but I do like it. Besides with this new identity the door is open for Cassandra to come back in the serie…

Who is the leader?

But the first thing I’m worried about it’s wether Christopher Nolan will direct it or not! Nolan is already in another project with Leonardo DiCaprio: Inception and hasn’t said if will direct it or not. So this generates other questions who could direct the next Batman.

1. Tim Burton : If he will accept it could be the best Batman ever. Burton is just the right person to take this task, the only one to truely understand Gotham and its atmosphere. And with our technology imagine what could he do.

2. David Fincher : This guy has made tremendous movie so far and I like his spirit and the way he work with actors.

3. Alex Proyas: Come on! Dark City, The Crow was combination of what we need in Batman and I Robot proved that he was able to drive superproduction movies. But Proyas is already on several projects including the Silver Surfer spin off, so…

4. Zack Znyder: I like him because of the visual atmosphere he provide to a movie but I think those sequences in slow motion are too much. He put it on every movie. But well he has made a good job.

Some thoughts about that?

The Next Vilains:

The other things I’m hearing on Internet and around me it’s: who is going to be the next vilain? Well obviously you can’t find a Joker better than poor Ledger. There is speculations about the Riddler, Catwoman and even the pinguins!! And to be the actors?

For the Riddler: there are a lot of rumors talking about Johnny Depp and Brian Austin Green. If you want to be serious you have to go with Johnny.

For Catwoman: Some talk about Megan Fox! Come on guys be serious a little you want to destroy the serie? clearly she will be a hot Catwoman but that’s all. Some other talk about Angelina Jolie and well I prefer that.  But what about Eva Mendes and Salma Hayek?

For the pinguin: Everyone is okay for Philip Seymour Hoffman. I’ve heard Jack Black, who said it!! no seriously.

Most Wanted Vilains:

All of those things brings us to one specific subject which Vilain we would love to see in the next Batman, I’ve read a list of  8 great vilains but here is mine :

6. Mister Freeze:

I was so upset when I first so Schumacher’s Freezer. This man wasn’t Freezer not even close. Actually we should forgot this movie

5. The Pinguin:

When I heard Nolan was going to bring the Joker back I first thought: « What? No! He’s going to fail! » And then what he made an amazing Batman movie with one of the greatest Joker we ever seen. So why not.

4.  Silence :

Some of you will say that I want to make a movie of War games. Not really but I believe the combination of those character brings a lot of problems to Batman. Black Mask could be used as a boss working with other vilains against Batman. He will fit perfectly in the realistic Batman of Nolan.

3. Catwoman:

A strong woman in Batman !  I take it! Catwoman is one of the character I like the most but clearly you have to be careful on the casting.

2. The Riddler :

Of course we want him back but this time we want a much better Riddler than the other one. Riddler could work with Black Mask.

The war game seminal was great and I really want to see this character

C’mon don’t tell me you don’t know him! Batman the hero dressed like a Bat. Yeah Bruce Wayne the multibillionaire with some personal issue since he saw his mother and father killed in front of him.

Of course you know him Batman is one of the most popular character of DC comics and he’s made a huge noise since Christopher Nolan has relaunched the movie serie, with « Batman Begins » and « Batman: The Dark Knight ».

Obviously all this noise, and all the money they’ve earned from that, made them think that it could be the right time to launch another game starring the dark hero.

Best super hero game ever ?

And here it is « Batman: Arkham Asylum ». After a great buzz around this game and some pictures post here and there, Eidos Interactive (game editor) and Rocksteady (game developper) are now showing the first pictures, videos of what should be one of the greatest super hero game.

The game is already available in the US but it will be released in France TOMORROW !!! Yeah that’s right, run, run, damn it! run!

But this game is all about what?

As mentioned in the title the game will be played in the Arkham Asylum one the most « famous » asylum, where every bad guys that Batman ever captured are.

The game is just amazingly designed, gothic just the way we love Batman’s environement. Shabby, dark and violent in this game you will follow a desoriented Batman manipulated by the scarecrow.

Killer Croc, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane and the scarecrow want to go out of the asylum and you will have to stop them switching from action to infiltration. You will unblock new equipments and skills during your adventure…

Can’t wait to get it and play for at least 15 hours on it until I finish it!
